Scientific Conservation Inc. closed its deal to buy Atlanta-based Servidyne Inc. for $12.9 million.
The new combined company, SCIenergy Inc., formally launches in September.
Servidyne — an energy-saving building projects company — was born in 2006 out of an 81-year-old, Atlanta-based energy services, facility management and real estate company called Abrams Industries Inc. The company is now private.
San Francisco-based Scientific Conservation makes energy-management analytics software aimed at energy efficiency for the commercial building market.
